ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
ACIR, in conjunction with Accelerate Prosperity, is conducting a 2-day workshop in Bishkek to train Kyrgyz startups in the hard and soft skills needed to attract funding from foreign investors.
Participants will learn how negotiate with companies who are considering investing in a startup and what a typical “pitch deck” should include. If you are looking to raise funds and have questions like: “What should be included or not included in my pitch? How do I negotiate exit terms? How to balance investment with dilution? As an early stage startup, should I push investments with equity or convertible notes?” then this workshop is for you!
The two day training will be conducted in English and will cover the following topics:
• Essentials of value propositions and the elevator pitch.
• Funding 101. VCs versus Angels: know the difference!
• Term sheets, what every startup needs to know.
• Convertible notes and equity
• Pitching to investors; how and what to pitch.
• Dilution; how does it work?
